The ceiling mount supplied with the Luke Roberts lamp includes a ceiling mount unit that must be used when installing the lamp.
Please check the following points according to the image below or download the check-list as PDF here.
Checkpoints:
- Connect the lamp cable to the smaller connection terminal which is located close to the "12VDC" label".
- Match the wire colors on both sides of the terminal (red to red, black to black).
- Make sure that the wires are securely pushed into the clamp.
- Please note that each terminal clamp has two wire entries. Do not put both wire into the same clamp. - Connect the primary mains wires to the larger connection terminal which is located close to the "230VAC" or "120VAC" label.
- Match the wire colors based on the symbols marked on the terminal clamps (L:live wire, N:neutral, earth).
- Make sure that the wires are securely pushed into the clamp.
- Never connect the lamp cable to the primary power side as this will destroy the lamp. - After powering on the mains power, please check if the small blue indicator light is visible as shown in the picture.
- If it shines in blue light, it means that the power supply in the ceiling mount is working properly. If your lamp is not working, please check the lamp connection (point 1).
- If it does no shine blue, please check your primary side wiring (point 2) and that your mains power is really switched on (switch, circuit breaker). If the problem persists, the power supply might be defect. Please contact support@luke-roberts.com
